A RACKING COLLAPSE CAN BE DANGEROUS EXPENSIVE AND EVEN KILL 

You must ensure your racking is safe.

It's a legal requirement to show weight load notices on your shelving , racking and mezzanine floors.

•  Does any of your racking have damage in excess of  5mm in a one metre length in the direction of the beams or 3mm in one metre length in the direction of the upright (please see diagram  1 below)?
• Does it have localised impact damage.?
• Do any of the cross-bracing frame members have more than a 10mm deflection in any direction.?
• Does it have damaged beams?
• Does it have safety beams locks missing?
• Are the floor fixings missing or loose?
• Are the beams overloaded?

If the answer to any of the above is YES we would strongly recommend that you have your racking inspected.

A full Racking and Shelving Safety Inspection should be carried out to the SEMA Code at least once a year.
